This semi-antique Karabagh rug from the Caucasus shows three bouquets of pink, red, and coral roses with yellow-green leaves on a black field, framed by a border of climbing rose vines. Rose designs like this were a signature of Karabagh weaving in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The pile shows gentle wear consistent with age, and the black ground pairs well with light walls and wood floors. It suits an entryway, hallway, or a spot beside a bed or sofa.
